Learning for care teams. A platform for the whole journey.
Medinius provides digital training for the nursing profession. SDEV developed its Drupal-based learning management system (LMS), bringing courses, interactive activities and progress reporting into one platform for learners and training teams.
Specialist knowledge.A clear route through it.
Nursing education needs to connect specialist knowledge with situations people recognise from their work. Medinius uses video-based teaching and practical simulations to make that material part of an active learning experience.
The platform needs to support both sides of that experience: a clear route through courses for learners, and visibility into participation and completion for the teams organising training.
From the course catalogue. To the next learning step.
SDEV developed the Drupal LMS around Medinius’s training content. A course catalogue leads into lessons and learning activities, while quizzes, answer feedback and completion views give learners a clear next step.
Interactive videos and practice-based simulations support Medinius’s teaching approach. SDEV also delivered video production, editing, question preparation and the interactive application for the nursing simulation shown in the linked case. The LMS connects learning activities with course structure and learner progress.
Learning for the individual. Visibility for the team.
Training teams need to understand how courses are being used. The reporting views bring participation and completion together, with course-level detail for individual learning units.
This gives the team a starting point for reviewing activity and deciding where to look more closely. A calendar keeps scheduled learning visible alongside the course catalogue.
Built on Drupal. Adapted for different organisations.
The learning platform and its operation
Drupal connects learning content with the workflows around it. SDEV brought course structure, learning activities, progress and reporting together within the LMS, supporting both the learner experience and the training operation.
White-label implementations adapt that foundation for other care organisations. They provide an organisation-specific learning environment while building on the platform developed for Medinius.

SDEV & the platform
What did SDEV build for Medinius?
SDEV developed the Drupal-based LMS connecting courses, learning activities, quizzes, progress and reporting. The work also includes white-label implementations for care organisations.
Who is the Medinius learning platform for?
Medinius focuses on digital education for the nursing profession. The LMS supports learners working through training and teams organising and reviewing that learning.
What is Drupal’s role in the LMS?
Drupal provides the platform foundation for learning content and the workflows around it. SDEV connected the course experience with progress and reporting within that platform.
The learner experience
Which learning formats does the platform support?
Medinius’s offering combines video-based lessons, interactive videos, quizzes and practice-based simulations. The LMS connects those formats with courses and learner progress.
How do quizzes support the course experience?
Quizzes let learners check their understanding after working through the material. Answer feedback and completion views help them see the result and continue with their training.
Can learners use the platform on different devices?
The learner interface supports laptop, tablet and phone layouts. The device views show the course catalogue, lessons and quizzes across those formats.
The training operation
What can training teams see in reporting?
Reporting presents participation and completion indicators, with detail for individual learning units. This helps teams review activity and identify where they need a closer look. The case images contain demo data.
How does the calendar fit into the platform?
The calendar gives scheduled learning a visible place alongside the course catalogue, helping learners find the planned activities within their training environment.
Did SDEV also create the interactive nursing simulation?
Yes. Alongside the LMS work, SDEV delivered the simulation’s video production, post-production editing, question preparation and React application. The interactive learning case covers that work in detail.
Adaptation & new projects
What does white-label mean for this learning platform?
White-label implementations adapt the platform for another care organisation’s identity and training context. The implementation builds on the existing learning foundation.
Can SDEV develop a custom Drupal LMS for another organisation?
SDEV’s Medinius and 123Sonography work covers specialist learning platforms. For a new LMS, the starting point is the learner experience, the training team’s workflows and the content the platform needs to support.
How does Medinius differ from the 123Sonography platform?
Medinius focuses on nursing education and care organisations. The 123Sonography project connects medical training with commerce and business systems. Both show SDEV’s work on the platform behind specialist education.
